My name is Paulette Simeon, and I'm a licensed provider for 6 full time children and offer an after school program for school-aged children. I have an Associate Degree at Urban College of Boston. I'm well trained to help your child learn in a comfortable environment. Your child will be safe in our program because we always ensure that we maintain all health and safety regulations.

Infant
PS little Explores Family Child Care is designed to help infants develop their motor skills, teach them sign language, and maximize interactions with others.
Pre-School
Children develop a fine motor skills that will prepare them for refined abilities as they grow older. They enjoy manipulating and creating with clay, playdough, and different type of art experience. Each can be made in our classroom.
Toddler
Three years old are learning to trust. Trust gives them the confidence to become independent, being able to brush their teeth, and dress themselves.
School age
Five years old are increasingly independent, self-sufficient invidudials. They can jump rope, ride a bike with training wheels and stand on their tippy toes. They can control paintbrush, write letters and numbers with increasing accuracy.
Our Story
PS Little Explorers Family Child Care adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave our care, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.
Outdoor Play
PS Little Explorers Family Child Care provides a comfortable outdoor feel throughout our program to help children develop a strong emotional and social well-being, increase physical activity, and enhance interest in learning.
Curriculum
At Little Explorers Family Child Care, we want to make sure we develop the whole child. We beleive that the more we learn about each other, the more we will learn to respect each other and the environment. Cultural and environmental awareness will be prevalent in all areas of study in our family child care. The areas of study will include:
Small group time - In this area, specific skills will be explored with two or three children at the time. Some projects may include making playdough observing bugs, and art projets.
Large group time - During this time all the children will gather to enjoy activities such as story time, music, puppet shows, and a variety of drama and dancing.
Private area - This area will be available throughout the room so children may work independently or with friend. Some of the areas will include a easel, library, and computer.
Dramatic play area - A full kitchen with a variety of baby, house, dress up clothes items will be available for making pretend play.
Science center - Magnifying glasses, and a variety of writing materials are added to this area to discover and assortment of things we will find around in our backyards like leaves, rocks, bugs, worms, flowers, and seeds. Children may want to use rocks for weighting and measuring, grass and hay for making costumes.
Sand and water area - Children will use their creativity in this area to learn the properties of sand and water. Anssortment of equipment such as tubes, shovels, and many other items will be available for children to use.
